This recognition reflects Carolyn’s leadership following the Bank of the West acquisition, which doubled the size of BMO’s U.S. Personal & Business Banking segment. Carolyn leads a highly engaged team of 7,000 colleagues committed to helping 4 million customers make real financial progress, across a footprint of over 1000 branches and 50 states.  

Under her leadership, her team has maintained top-tier employee engagement while accelerating customer loyalty, growth and operational excellence. She remains focused on adopting innovation that empowers digital experiences as well as personal and holistic customer conversations that deepen relationships. 

While cultivating a workplace culture that aligns with BMO’s Purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life, Carolyn builds on her passion for helping women, families and underserved communities make real financial progress by serving on the boards for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future and Junior Achievement Chicago, and spearheading BMORE, BMO’s external acquisition strategy designed to remove barriers and develop career pathways into the financial industry.
