BMO Ranked #1 Globally in AI Talent Development

BMO has earned the joint #1 global ranking in Talent Development in the talent development sub pillar in the 2025 Evident AI Index, a prestigious benchmark that evaluates AI maturity across the world’s top 50 banks. This recognition highlights BMO’s commitment to building future-ready teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Some examples of how the bank is investing in this space are: 

  • BMO’s AI for All training provides every employee, regardless of technical background, with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, including its ethical use, governance and practical applications. This program ensures all employees are equipped to use AI responsibly, confidently and collaboratively to drive innovation and impact. 
  • Continued partnerships with leading academic institutions to actively support and accelerate undergraduate and graduate-level research in Responsible AI. These academic partnerships foster future-ready researchers and drive interdisciplinary exploration into the societal impacts of AI, encouraging innovative approaches that positively shape how AI is developed and applied. 
  • BMO’s marquee digital event: Destination Digital. This innovative sprint program empowers employees across functions to rapidly develop creative solutions to business challenges using emerging technologies like AI. Through focused events the program has produced impactful prototypes — some receiving funding for implementation — while continuously evolving to meet client and community needs.
