“BMO is proud to be named United Way of Metro Chicago’s top Corporate Partner for 10 years in a row and thanks to all of our colleagues who have donated their support to the organization. Aligned to our Purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life, our partnership with United Way is helping us accelerate progress for better education, health and resources for the communities we serve.”

Through philanthropy and volunteering, BMO supports United Way of Metro Chicago and its mission to tackle the systemic issues that have plagued our communities and hinder economic growth. In 2019, BMO announced a $10 million donation to support United Way’s Neighborhood Network Initiative, a place-based approach to neighborhood transformation designed to reduce economic disparity and create sustainable opportunities in communities across the Chicago region.

BMO has believed in community-based investments and leadership since serving as the cornerstone investor in the Neighborhood Networks 10 years ago. Thanks to our contribution, what started as two Networks in 2013, has now grown to 17 Neighborhood Network communities. BMO funding has also contributed to the opening of new community assets including Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation in the Austin neighborhood and Latinos Progresando resource center in the Little Village neighborhood.

In addition, BMO supports United Way through their annual employee donation campaign. Last year, we reached 100 employees who have donated over $10,000 to the organization, and over the past decade, employees in the metropolitan Chicago region alone have raised more than $37 million for the communities and neighbors that we serve.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who played a part in this achievement!
