BMO kicks off Angel City Football Club’s season at BMO Stadium with Girls Play Los Angeles
This past weekend, BMO was pleased to be a part of Angel City Football Club’s (ACFC) season kick-off at BMO Stadium in partnership with Girls Play Los Angeles (GPLA). BMO hosted a youth soccer clinic, a women’s leadership panel, and provided tickets to the home opener for 150 youth participants and their families from GPLA. The panel focused on education, women’s empowerment, leadership, and gender equity. This new community impact partnership reinforces our commitment to inclusivity and equity in sports by reducing barriers of entry for girls and women.
Through our partnership with ACFC, we have committed 10 percent of our sponsorship funds to GPLA, supporting over 400 high school-aged girls and non-binary youth across Los Angeles with no-cost access to soccer and leadership development programming.
Following the day of events, ACFC kicked off their home opener at BMO Stadium against Gotham FC to celebrate the start of the 2023 National Women Soccer League (NWSL) season.
BMO Stadium has been instrumental in building our brand presence in the L.A. market, which is driving new business in our expanded footprint. The stadium now provides 16 fantastic views of BMO’s brand from street and sky in the heart of Los Angeles, maximizing brand visibility.
BMO continues to invest in partnership programs at both professional and grassroots levels to engage and contribute to the development of girls and women through sports. Some notable commitments include partnerships with Ontario Soccer and our support of over 100,000 girls, WNBA’s Chicago Sky, the Toronto Football Club (TFC) Women in Soccer Fellowship program and most recently, our founding partnership with ACFC.
