BMO empowers equity and innovation in healthcare at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital
BMO is proud to partner with Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) in its mission to deliver equitable and innovative healthcare solutions for all. Through our partnership with the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation (SFGHF), BMO is helping drive meaningful change in patient care by supporting the Foundation’s Equity & Innovation Grants (EIG) program. This initiative, which has funded more than 550 transformative projects since its inception, enables ZSFG to remain at the forefront of public health, creating lasting solutions to the city’s most complex healthcare challenges.
The Equity & Innovation Grants are designed to nurture creative ideas and groundbreaking approaches to care that prioritize equity and address social determinants of health. Programs like Social Medicine, which integrates patients’ social and economic realities into their care, and Solid Start, a holistic initiative for families and young children, have been made possible through EIG. With BMO’s support, these and future projects will continue to shape healthcare delivery, ensuring that everyone in the San Francisco community has access to compassionate, innovative care.
Honoring new grant recipients
On October 7, 2024, the next chapter of innovation unfolded as two new recipients of the Equity & Innovation Grants were awarded at a special ceremony. The event celebrated the groundbreaking work being done at ZSFG to advance health equity and innovation. During the ceremony, Amr Guendia, Managing Director & Region Head for Northern California and Pacific Northwest, Commercial Banking, had the honor of making remarks and presenting checks to the new grant recipients, continuing BMO’s commitment to fostering meaningful change in healthcare.
“BMO’s Purpose is to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life. By supporting these vital programs, we’re helping to break down barriers and build a more inclusive society where healthcare is truly accessible for all.”
