Uniting against hate, discrimination and bullying
International Day of Pink is observed every second Wednesday of April at BMO. Colleagues across the company wear pink to combat homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, transmisogyny and bullying, specifically anti-LGBTQ+ bullying.
The 2024 Day of Pink theme, “Visibility,” encompasses being seen, acknowledged, respected and heard. Watch as Customer Service Representative Rina Adams shares her personal journey of identity and acceptance:
Everyone has a role to play in disrupting bullying and dismantling barriers to acceptance. To that end, the BMO Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) organized an enterprise-wide short film screening and discussion on the effects of bullying with filmmaker Anthony Williams of Second Glance Productions and Wes Davis of Equality Illinois.
Together, Team BMO is helping to achieve Zero Barriers to Inclusion by demonstrating that bullying and discrimination have no place in the workplace or the world.
