Grant funding helps Velez Global Enterprises empower Latino-led businesses

Established entrepreneur Letty Velez started a small business consulting firm after a successful 10-year run as the first Latina owner-operator of a charter bus company. Her new venture, Velez Global Enterprises, helps start-ups with revenue growth, brand amplification, and access to capital, with a focus on grant hunting and writing.

As a recipient of the BMO Celebrating Women grant, Letty will build out resources for her Social Enterprise program called IC U/Latinas, where more than 200 Latinas across the United States, including Puerto Rico, are participating in learning cohorts to accelerate their business growth.

Letty is helping make a difference for Latina entrepreneurs, and BMO is proud to help Letty grow the good in her community. See how Letty is “teaching people to fish” in this short video.
