BMO’s Share the Limelight program celebrates LGBTQ+-owned businesses with Chicago Blackhawks
In the lead up to Pride Month, BMO celebrated Pride Night with the Chicago Blackhawks by highlighting two LGBTQ+-owned businesses, Chicago Male Salon and Chicago Sugar Daddy, through BMO’s Share the Limelight program. The program showcases minority-owned businesses during games at the United Center in Chicago and the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, including a full advertising takeover to help the businesses elevate awareness and expand reach to fans and the community. The program is aligned with BMO EMpower 2.0, our more than $40 billion commitment to drive meaningful financial progress and foster an inclusive society.
Chicago Male Salon, located in the city’s North Halsted neighborhood for almost 15 years, offers customers a full range of hair styling, skincare treatments and more. In addition to their exposure on Pride Night, Chicago Male Salon and the Chicago Blackhawks partnered with the Center on Halsted, an LGBTQ+ community center in Chicago, to provide haircuts to members of the Center’s job development program, while the Chicago Blackhawks HR team conducted resume reviews supporting professional development.
Chicago Sugar Daddy is a patisserie shop founded in 2020 offering classic desserts and pastries infused with traditional Filipino flavors. Chicago Sugar Daddy baked custom Blackhawks Pride Night cookies and cake samplers for fans to enjoy at the game.
“Having the support of BMO means a lot to us. Being able to share our story and our products with our community is something that we will always be thankful for.”

Co-owner and general manager of Chicago Sugar Daddy
BMO also conducted a photo shoot with both businesses for promotional materials they can use on their own social media channels.
BMO’s support for Pride Night provided an opportunity for LGBTQ+-owned businesses to highlight their products and services to the larger community with a celebration focused on uplifting underrepresented voices – exemplifying BMO’s Purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life and commitment to zero barriers to inclusion.
