BMO supports small businesses in what comes next

August 18, 2020 | COVID response

The past several months have been transformational for all of us. As a Purpose-driven bank, BMO is taking bold action to address the needs of our customers, employees and communities.

In phase two of our Recovery campaign, we’re showcasing some of our inspiring small business customers. Since the pandemic began, BMO has been actively supporting small businesses and helping them make real financial progress in whatever “next” looks like for them.

The clients we’re highlighting are diverse businesses in different industries and locations, but they share one common objective: adapting to deal with the COVID-19 crisis. We’re helping them get it done.

Our “Spin” video demonstrates our support for small businesses – now, and going forward.

BMO is localizing our support, using our social media channels to highlight and celebrate small business clients that have reopened in a series of short videos. We’re also leveraging the “Support Small Business” sticker on Instagram Stories to invite users to visit or follow clients on the app, generating further exposure for the businesses.
