BMO Harris Bank recognized as one of Forbes’ Best Employers for Women in America for 2021

August 9, 2021 | Recognition

For the third consecutive year, BMO Harris Bank was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Best Employers for Women in 2021.

In collaboration with market research company Statista, Forbes determined the companies most liked by female workers by surveying 50,000 employees, of which 30,000 were women, working for companies with at least 1,000 employees. The survey also considered company representation at executive and board levels, initiatives to improve gender equity, and allegations regarding discrimination or misconduct.

This year’s list accounted for the pandemic’s toll on women’s labor force participation, which is slowly rising from an April 2020 low of 57.2 percent. Topics such as parental leave, childcare, the benefits of remote working and the strength of taking up space in senior-level positions also attributed to the rankings.

“In order to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life and close the gender gap in the financial services industry, BMO is committed to Zero Barriers to Inclusion in our workplace and in the communities we serve,” said Tracie Morris, U.S. Chief HR and Inclusion Officer, NA, BMO Financial Group. “We are honored to be recognized as one of America’s Best Employers for Women for the third consecutive year.”
